Provider: TA ČR - program Beta2
Solution time: 2023-2024
Project No: TITSMZP207

Creation of a comprehensive set of information on the insulation materials produced for construction purposes containing ozone-depleting substances and fluorinated greenhouse gases (blowing agent function), defining the relevant period of use of these materials in construction in the Czech Republic. Determination of the residual volume of controlled substances and F-gases in insulating materials incorporated in buildings or landfills and estimation of the amount of gases already released in the process of natural aging. Determination of the input gas concentration used (especially the group of substances CFCs - chlorofluorocarbons, HCFCs - hydrochlorofluorocarbons and HFCs - partially fluorinated greenhouse gases). Obtaining a representative number of samples and subsequent identification of substances contained in insulation materials and determination of their residual concentration. Creating a mathematical model describing the behavior of the material due to natural aging - gas leakage and its amount. Determination of leakage risks of ozone-depleting substances and fluorinated greenhouse gases from insulation materials used in construction due to their aging and disposal in terms of landfilling (reconstruction, demolition). Determination of the possibility of disposal of discarded building insulation materials in order to minimize the leakage of blowing agent emissions.
