Internship of our colleagues in Taiwan

In the period between 16.01.2023 and 17.02.2023 our colleagues Martin Mildner and Petr Hotěk were on a foreign internship at Ilan National University in Taiwan.

Our colleagues Martin Mildner and Petr Hotek visited our colleagues from National Ilan University in Taiwan during their PhD studies and cooperated with them on the development of multifunctional alkali-activated materials for sophisticated applications.

Together with local students and researchers, they prepared and tested alkaline-activated materials using a local precursor (ultra-fine reactive fly ash) mixed with aggregate with the ability to increase the electrical conductivity of the material. As part of the internship, they also prepared a lecture for local students on the research at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of CTU in which they are involved.

This internship allowed them to participate in a bilateral research project between Taiwan and the Czech Republic, gaining valuable experience in research and development of advanced materials, and contributed to the development of their skills and knowledge in this field.
