International cooperation: Cracow University of Technology (Poland)

Department of Materials Engineering and Chemistry cooperates with the Department of Civil Engineering, Cracow University of Technology, Poland in the field of the design and characterization of cementitious materials with reduced environmental impact and geopolymers with optimized thermal properties.

Within the project NAWA PPI / APM / 2018/1/00027 (EMMAT E-mobility and sustainable materials and technologies) we deal with material characterization and computer simulations in the field of cement composites with reduced environmental impact. Besides we cooperate on the study of geopolymers with optimized thermal properties. The results so far include, for example:

• active participation of members of the Department of Materials Engineering and Chemistry in the planned conference MATBUD 2020 where the results of joint research will be presented
• arrangement of an internship for a Ph.D. student at Cracow University of Technology within the NAWA project

We look forward to further deepening of our cooperation with our Polish colleagues.
